PAXLOVID An investigational drug called PAXLOVID is used to treat mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in adults and children (aged 12 and older and weighing at least 88 pounds (40 kg)) who have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus directly and who are at a high risk of developing severe COVID-19, which could result in hospitalization or death.

Due to ongoing research, It is still considered experimental. There is not enough data to determine whether it is safe and effective for treating mild-to-moderate COVID-19.
For the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in adults and children (aged 12 and older and weighing at least 88 pounds (40 kg)) with a positive test for the COVID-19 virus, the FDA has approved the use of PAXLOVID for emergency use.
